My neighbour's plant

I don't know what plant this is but it's my neighbour's. It's quite a big bush and flowers profusely in spring with fragrant blooms. A deciduous plant it dies back in winter but springs back to life this time of the year. Do let me know what it's called if you know.

Magnolia Black Tulip

Found this new magnolia at my local nursery; black tulip & its spectacular. The photo doesn't do it justice, too bad I have no room for it either..all I can do is envy.
